What a great day! What a great run—or walk for some of us! Is there any better way to get to know your coworkers, than bonding over a charity event? Personally, I don’t think so, but hey we all have a right to our own opinions. Running just happens to be one of my favorite past times. This past Saturday, we had an amazing time getting to know each other on a personal level as some of us here at Royer teamed up for fun, fitness, team building, and charity all in one. We decided to Run the FALLS 5K in order to benefit KDH’s Girls on the Run program. As a company we were able to raise $300 for this outstanding nonprofit organization, which uses running as a great way to inspire and motivate girls. They are able to do this by going to small towns to coach girls on life lessons, which includes running games, so the girls can develop a better understanding of themselves & the value of relationships and teamwork. Additionally, they gain an understanding of how we can all work collaboratively to shape the world as a whole. I believe these are valuable lessons that are important for us all to learn, so I want to thank Heather Foy at KDH for getting us enrolled and involved in this momentous activity.

This event was also beneficial for our Royer family because we believe having a healthy staff morale is very important. As we all know, building a positive team morale makes for a better work environment and happy employees equal improved performance, higher productivity, and an all-around better work experience for those involved. I know that running isn’t a good fit for all, so as we continue working on a successful team environment, we’re looking forward to planning more team building events in the near future.
